Lindsay A. Saylors started her career in social services, assisting and advocating for survivors of gender-based violence in matters from obtaining shelter and employment, to navigating the legal field. It was within this role that Lindsay noticed an increased need for family law attorneys who understood the nuances of gender-based violence. This influenced Lindsay’s decision to become an attorney, and together with Lindsay’s firsthand experience with being a child of divorced parents, focus her practice on all areas of family law.

Before joining Kollias, P.C. Lindsay worked for other Chicago-based family law firms where she gained quality experience with a broad spectrum of family law issues. Lindsay has been licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois since 2019 and has since exclusively centered her practice on family law.

Lindsay earned her Juris Doctorate in 2018 from The John Marshall Law School, now known as the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she served on the Executive Board of both the Children and Family Law Society as well as the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. She was also actively involved with her law school’s Family Law and Domestic Violence Legal Clinic as a licensed student attorney. Within this role, Lindsay worked under the supervision of licensed attorneys to represent clients who were survivors of domestic violence in an array of family law matters.

Prior to earning her Juris Doctorate, Lindsay graduated from Loyola University Chicago, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology of Crime and Justice. Lindsay also holds two certifications from the State of Illinois to work with and advocate for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

Lindsay’s approach to the practice of law is as an experienced guide for her clients, helping them navigate through each stage of their family law matter, whether it be during the tumultuousness of a divorce, the frustrations of post-divorce litigation, or the sensitive nature of child-related issues. Lindsay understands that effective representation requires an attorney to listen attentively to her client to fully understand the facts of the case and the client’s goals and priorities before formulating a plan of action. Lindsay makes it her priority to ensure that her clients are making the best decisions in a situation that is fraught with uncertainty. Lindsay’s experience as a lawyer, her prior social work experience, and as a child of divorce, along with her education, allow her to bring a real-world perspective to her cases while prioritizing each client’s individualized needs and goals.

Lindsay is an active member of the DuPage County Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers, and the American Bar Association. Lindsay resides in the western suburbs with her husband, daughter, and three rescue pets, and at any given time a rotating foster dog may be taking up (temporary) residence in her home.
